I was contacted by a Rhode Island based contractor who was visiting Los Angeles. He had seen and liked my work here in L.A. and he asked if I would be interested in designing a new home for him on an empty sea fronting lot in Newport. The contractor had some design reference photos and he gave me the foot print dimensions and then with some back and forth we developed the working drawings.

This house was built in 2013 and since then I've worked with the same contractor on several other houses in the Rhode Island.
